- This is being offered for K-9 students
- This plan is suitable for those parents who intend to have their child(ren) return to their neighborhood school but are not quite comfortable yet with doing so
- This is not an online learning program
- The LFH Transition teacher will provide assignments in the areas of literacy/numeracy/core competencies
- The LFH Transition teacher will do weekly check ins with the child(ren) which will range from 1.5-2 hours per week. Check-ins will start on September 21
- Families have the primary responsibility to support their child’s learning from home
- The LFH Transition teacher may not have a French background. Families are responsible for supporting their children in second language development.
- This is a temporary option available until Nov 6, 2020
- Students with learning designations will continue to have IEPs and will receive support from their school. Resource staff will connect with families to discuss needs and supports for students
- Indigenous learners will continue to receive supports from First Nations Support workers
