We share an invitation with parents/guardians, partner groups, and community members to join a virtual Town Hall Session co-hosted by Northern Health and Coast Mountains School District 82 to be held on Monday, November 9 at 5:30 p.m.
We are pleased to welcome the following Northern Health representatives as keynote speakers to the Town Hall Session facilitated by our Superintendent Janet Meyer and Board Chair Shar McCrory:
- Raina Fumerton, Northwest Medical Health Officer and Acting Northeast Medical Health Officer
- Petrina Bryant, Regional Nursing Lead, Healthy Schools and Youth
Join us to learn from the Northern Health authority on how our school district will handle confirmed cases or school clusters of COVID-19. Definitions are detailed for your information:
- Confirmed Case = a person with laboratory confirmation of infection with the virus that causes COVID-19 performed at a community, hospital or reference laboratory.
- School Cluster = multiple confirmed and linked cases of COVID-19 among students and/or staff within a 14-day period. The determination of clusters can only be made by medical health officers.
Questions are welcomed by 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5 by emailing covid@cmsd.bc.ca. Questions will be “filtered or themed together” prior to the Town Hall Session with responses provided during the session.
The YouTube’s chat feature will be used for additional questions during the session pending time availability. Any questions not answered will be responded to in the days following the Town Hall Session and posted to the school district’s website at www.cmsd.bc.ca.
