The following is the Re-entry plan for Hazelton Secondary School students.  These rules are based off Dr. Bonnie Henry of the provincial health office and the ministry’s safety protocols.  Regardless of personal beliefs, we ask that you respect the rights of others and follow the physical distancing rules as laid out by Dr. Henry and the ministry.  At HSS, we take our students’ and staff’s safety very seriously.  Failure to follow these rules will result in students being sent home where they will continue their learning remotely.

Entering the building

  • A schedule of which students will attend HSS on which days is being developed and will be issued to student, guardians and staff prior to June 1st. This will include a bus schedule.
  • While students are on the bus, they will be assigned seating that will be based on physical distancing rules.
  • Students who are being dropped off by their parents must first be sure that they are scheduled to be at HSS that day and will be dropped off in the student parking lot
  • Students will only enter from the front doors
    • Students will be met by teachers as they enter the school
    • They will be brought to a pre-designated washroom by their teacher where they will wash their hands one at a time
